Concrete is naturally an insulative material. MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub has cooperated with French National Center for Scientific Research on changing concrete into a conductive material by adding nanocarbon black particles. Such innovation is more environmental-friendly and can be applied to new uses such as self-heating and energy storage.
